Obituary: Cynthia MoniceCarter, 56, of Rockwell died Friday, April 22, 2011 at her home. She was born Dec. 26, 1954 in Rowan County. She is the daughter of Ruby H. McClamrock of the home. She was preceded in death by her father James Albert Burr and her stepfather that raised her, Roy McClamrock Jr. She was also preceded in death by grandparents Albert and Grace Horne and Jule and Fannie Burr. She had worked at Fieldcrest-Cannon Inc in the Sheet Dept until retiring due to disability in 1995. She was a 1972 graduate of A.L. Brown High. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and former member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and camping. During her disability when she could not go to church, she enjoyed watching Charles Stanley, the Gaither Homecoming, Joel Osteen and listening to Pastors Curtis Parker, Allen Reid and Dean Hunter at Central along with the choir. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Curtis Parker and Rev Allen Reid. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Tuesday at Whitley's. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Ben L. Carter, her daughter Michelle Strube (Jamie), mother-in-law Mary Eudy, and her favoritefriend Rocky. The family cannot thank the staff at Hospice of Rowan Countyenough for the love and care shown to Cynthia and the family, especially Melanie, Nancy, Ginger, Julie, Betty,Ester and many others. Visitation: 1-2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 26th at Whitley's Funeral Home.

Service: 2 P.M., Tuesday, April 26th at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment: Carolina Mem. Park.
