Cynthia Threadgill Spencer

Obituary: Dewitt, Virginia - Cynthia Threadgill Spencer, age 70, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, VA after a seven year battle with cancer. She was born October 20, 1943 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of Bernice P. Trexler and the late Eddins Threadgill. She was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School, Kannapolis, NC. In earlier years Cynthia was employed with General Motors. In later years, when she moved to Virginia she worked briefly for the State of Virginia and later in sales with Heileg-Myers Furniture and Ashley Furniture. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Larry Bost. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis, NC. Survivors include her husband of thirty-two years, Richard W. Spencer; one son, Stephen L. Williams, Jr. & wife, Mary B. Williams of Chester, VA; and three grandchildren, Everett, Brandy, and Sean Williams, all of Virginia.

Service: 11:30 A.M., Tuesday July 8, 2014 Graveside Service Carolina Memorial Park.

Interment: Carolina Memorial Park.
