Cynthia Helene Vellente

June 5, 1957 — August 3, 2023

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Cindy Vellente, who departed from us peacefully on August 3, 2023, at the age of 66.

She was born into the loving family of Frank and Shirley Vellente, who preceded her in death.

Cindy leaves behind her loving sister, Tammy Vellente Stearns, her devoted nephews Brian and Michael (Devin) Stearns, her niece Dylan, her caring Uncle Ralph Gutowski, and her cherished niece Nicole Sinclair.

A woman of unwavering spirit and joy, Cindy was adored by her family and friends. She was well-known for her pure heart and infectious laughter, which brought light into the lives of all those around her. She had a love for simple pleasures: savoring a cup of coffee, indulging in her favorite m&m's, perusing through catalogs, and enjoying frequent conversations over the phone.

A passionate participant in the Special Olympics, Cindy found immense joy in the spirit of the games and the camaraderie she experienced. Her radiant heart and joy for life made her an integral part of these events.

In honor of Cindy's loving spirit, her family humbly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Cabarrus County Special Olympics in her name. Please visit the following website to make a donation: https://sonc.net

Cindy's light and love will continue to live on in our hearts, and she will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. We will cherish her memory and the joyful moments she gave us forever.

Information on a small and intimate service with the family will be shared at a later time.
