Cyril Celiz

Obituary: Cyril Mark Divinagracia Celiz, age 56, of Concord, North Carolina, was called by our Lord on Saturday evening, November 24, 2018, after a brief battle with cancer. Cyril was born on June 26, 1962 in Davao City, Philippines to the late Romeo J. and Aldea D. Celiz. He graduated from the PWU with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts. He loved to paint and was an accomplished artist, his paintings hanging in several countries. He was an employee of Westdale Asset Management Comp., where he was a maintenance supervisor. Cyril and Ashley Celiz were married in Reno, CA on July 2, 1999. He was a devoted husband and best friend to his wife. They were each other's "one and only". They are blessed with two beautiful daughters: Hannah Abigail, age 18, and Clara Isabella, age 12. He was a wonderful Tatay to his daughters, whose guidance and advice will be missed forever. He was a kind-hearted soul who was loved by everyone. Cyril was preceded in death by his parents. Cyril is survived by his wife, Ashley; his daughters Hannah and Clara; his siblings Eric, Ian, and Sharon; sisters-in-law Fimelita, Lovel, Courtney, and Katy, brother-in-law Jess; loving nieces and nephews Kevin, Martin, Carla, Matthew, Gillian, Gwyneth, Lauren, Madeline, Evan, Dylan, Leilani, Liam, and Levi; mother-in-law, Judy Stewart. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 29, 2018, from 6-8:00 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home to celebrate Cyril's life. Online condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com.
