Dale Marie (Furr) Chapman

Mrs. Dale Marie Furr Chapman, 77 of Concord went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Northeast Medical Center following a period of declining health.

Dale was born August 28, 1945 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late Grady Lee Furr and Dora Irene Pinion Furr. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Frank Furr and Thomas Edward Furr.

Family members left to cherish her memory include a son, Paul Chapman of the Home, three sisters; Linda Barbee (Bob) of Midland, Judy Leigh (Larry) of Florida, and Sue Rushing (Jerry) of Harrisburg.

Dale was a 1965 graduate of Bethel High School. She was a member of Kinza Memorial Baptist in Stanfield.  She worked at Wiscasset Mill in the winding department for thirty years. She later was a greeter at Sam’s Club.

Dale enjoyed working with her flowers, doing crossword puzzles and reading her bible.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Whitley’s Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. with a graveside service following at Carolina Memorial Park conducted by Pastor Steve Davis.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association - Western Carolina Chapter, 4600 Park Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209.
