Obituary: Dallis Villard Perry, 63, of Kannapolis died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 at his home. He was born on February 29, 1948 in Mooresville, the son of the late L.C. and Georgia Blevins Perry. He retired from Pillowtex-Cannon in 2003 where he had been a supervisor in the #1 Slasher room. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Bethany Bible Church. He was an avid fisherman. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:00 PM Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel with a service to follow at 3:00 PM in the Annex Chapel. Rev. Bobby Sutherland will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. He is survived by two brothers, Thurman Perry of Kannapolis and Ronald Perry (Teri) of Landis, five sisters, Tharon Miller (Sonny), Kay Johnson, Mae Stirewalt (Robert), Sue Sutherland (Wade) and Jean Knowles (Bill) all of Kannapolis, many nieces and nephews and a special friend of 16 ½ years, Juanita "Peanut" Correll.
