Daniel Joseph Bedford

Obituary: Kannapolis- Daniel Joseph "Dan" Bedford, 56, passed away unexpectedly Friday afternoon, May 17, 2019. Born October 1, 1962 in Manhattan, Dan was a son of Mary Cecilia O'Keefe Bedford and the late Robert Leroy Bedford. Dan was a gifted and talented diesel mechanic, who could fix anything. He was proud to have inherited this talent form his father, and was honored to be passing it along to his son. Dan was owner/operator of Bedford racing and enjoyed NASCAR. He could often be found "tinkering" in his garage, loved coffee and found his happy place at the beach. Dan loved all of his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved his dogs, Spot, Lucky and Oreo, who will also miss him dearly. Family members left to cherish Dan's memory, in addition to his mother, include his children, Sabrina Glover (Ron) and Daniel Robert Bedford; his sister, Joan Mary Joseph (Steven); brother, Robert Bedford (Holly); his girlfriend, Kim Gilson; his much loved grandchildren, Savannah Bugari, Wyatt, Marli and Kelli Glover; several nieces, nephews and a great niece. A gathering of friends to remember and celebrate Dan's life will be held on Wednesday, May 22nd from 6:00-8:00 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home.
