Daniel “Danny” Lee Dishmon, 55, of Kannapolis passed away at his home on Friday, January 22, 2021, after a sudden illness.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Risen Life Church in Kannapolis with Pastor Chris Messina and Rev. Robert Earnhardt officiating.
Danny was born September 16, 1965 in Iredell Co. He was a son of the late Earl F. and Mary Giles Dishmon. He was a lifelong area resident and of the Christian faith. Danny worked as a draw tender for Parkdale Mills in Landis, NC until the company closed that location. He then built stairs for Carolina Stairs in Mt. Ulla, NC until he became disabled. Danny enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, especially carp fishing, NASCAR racing, motorcycles, his Harley, and spending time with his friends and family and most of all he enjoyed time with his beloved grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory include his girlfriend of 18 years, Kelly D. Irvin, of the home, his daughter, Jennifer Minton (Ande Tino) of Kannapolis, his grandchildren, Bryce Minton, Baylei Minton, Waylon Tino, and Gracelyn Tino. His siblings, Janice Smith of China Grove, Judy Allen (Kirby) of Mt. Pleasant, Dorothy Stirewalt of China Grove, Vickie Lambert of Kannapolis, and Tommy Dishmon of Richfield, multiple nieces and nephews, and two very special lifelong friends, Tom Bumgarner of Monroe and Johnny Black of China Grove.
