Kannapolis

Danny Lee Bullington, 73, of Kannapolis, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Tucker Hospice House.

Danny was born on September 30, 1948 in Albany Co. Georgia. He was a son to the late George Henry Bullington and Ruby "Jenny" Barfield Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Danny Darrell Bullington; brother, Jimmy Bullington and half-sister, Jean Prince.

Danny spent his career was a fork lift operator at Family Dollar for many years. Later, he changed careers and began working at Econo-Lodge as an Assistant Manager. Danny loved the Lord and would study the Bible daily. He was a longtime member at Central Baptist Church. Danny had a great sense of humor and giving heart. He enjoyed tending to his garden and as often seen sharing his home-grown vegetables with his neighbors. Danny enjoyed taking trips and riding his motorcycle. It filled his heart with so much joy to spend time with his fur babies. He was a loving husband and a great care-giver. Danny will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Judy Ann Stegall Bullington; son, Timothy Michael (Amy) Bullington; grandson, Michael Lee Bullington; brothers, Eddie Bullington; half-brother, Tim Bush; step-mother, Darlene Bush and second mother, Lula Holt.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm Monday, July 18, 2022 at Whitley's Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Hunter and Rev. Curtis Parker officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior at 4:00 pm.
