Danny Gillespie

Obituary: Danny Ray Gillespie, 43, of Kannapolis died Monday, January 6, 2014 at his home, after a period of declining health. A Memorial service, celebrating his life will be held at 5:00 PM Friday, January 10 at Whitley's Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Earnhardt officiating. Born April 12, 1970 in Cabarrus Co., Danny was a son of William "Steve" Gillespie of Concord and Ann White Dwiggins of Kannapolis. Danny attended Northwest Cabarrus High School and later worked as a pipefitter for Kingdom Fire Protection until retiring on disability. He will always be remembered for his love of music and dance. Danny was the "life of the party" and will be dearly missed. Danny is survived by his mother, Ann White Dwiggins of Kannapolis, his father, William "Steve" Gillespie (Kathy) of Concord, his daughter, Tiffany Bekowitz (Scott) of Kannapolis, his son, Michael Gillespie of Salisbury, 2 grandsons, Samuel Bekowitz and Kyle Gillespie, his brother, Steve Gillespie(Teresa) of Indian Trail, his sister, Angie Pilkington (Brian) of Harrisburg and many other loving relations.
