Danny Lee Harrell

Danny Lee Harrell, 73, of Monroe, passed away January 14, 2021 at McWhorter Hospice House in Monroe.
He was born December 15, 1947 in Cabarrus Co to the late Daniel Wesley Harrell and Oneida Evelyn Slough Harrell.
Danny served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, he also worked at Cannon Mills for many years, He enjoyed tinkering on machines and engines, he loved to go fishing and also spending hours in his gardens, Danny loved his family especially his grandsons.
Those left to cherish his memory, his daughter Dana Harrell (Eraclio) of Monroe, two step-daughters, Lisa Dixon of Gold Hill, and Angela Dixon of Kannapolis, one brother Chris Harrell of Kannapolis, two grandsons Alexander Harrell, Michael Olguin, Great granddaughter Brooklyn Harrell, an aunt Patricia Slough and cousin John David Slough.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday January 18, at Carolina Memorial Park with Rev Dennis Morgan officiating, and military honors
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Monday prior to the service at Whitley’s Funeral Home.
