Obituary: Danny Lee James, 56, of 1011 West A Street, Kannapolis died at the home of his sister, at 2113 Lane St., Kannapolis on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 after a illness of one year. Danny was born on February 1, 1954 in Cabarrus Co., the son of the late Robert Lee James and Madellin Campbell Donehue of Kannapolis. In addition to his father, he is also preceded in death by 1 brother. Danny worked as a supervisor in commercial construction with DMac Construction Co. in Houston, TX. In addition to his mother, he is survived by 3 daughters, 6 sons, 11 grandchildren, 1 brother, 1 sister and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral for Mr. James will take place a 1 P.M. Monday, September 13th, graveside services at Carolina Mem. Park conducted by Rev. . The family will receive friends after the service at his sister's home, Vickie Clay, 2113 Lane Street, Kannapolis.
