Danny Jenkins

Obituary: Danny Thomas Jenkins, our brother, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, went to be with our heavenly Father on January 24, 2016. With his daughter, Whitney, and sister, Shelby, by his side, Danny passed peacefully in his home after being comforted by his family and dear friends during a courageous, five month battle with cancer. He was 55 years old. Danny was born September 30th, 1960 in Concord, North Carolina to the late Henry Everett Jenkins and Emma Jean McIntyre Martin. Danny touched the lives of so many people with his infectious laughter and genuine smile. Danny's strong will and determined spirit was to be admired, always commanding the best in others with his never-subtle, unrestrained embrace. For those of us so fortunate to have known Danny, we will forever remember and adore him, awestruck by his unbreakable love for us. He leaves to cherish those memories his beloved children: Clifton, Whitney, Matthew and Zack Jenkins; two Grandchildren: Noah Jenkins and Maria Gonzales; two brothers Bruce Jenkins and Jeffery Hanna; four sisters Shelby Juhaish, Sue Bachman, Cindy Blount and Barbara Jenkins; cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends, many of whom, he always treasured as family. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, January 29, 2016 at Sunset Cemetery in Kannapolis. The family will have a gathering of friends and family from 1 to 3 PM Friday prior at Whitley's Funeral Home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to his Rooms To Go family in San Antonio, Texas for their heartfelt support. May Danny remain forever present in our memory.
