Darlene Marie (Miller) Harbaugh

Darlene Marie Miller Harbaugh, 76, of Salisbury, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.


Darlene was born in Hanover, PA to the late George Samuel Miller and Viola Mary Jane Gobrecht Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Anna Mae Bubb and Mary M. Butt.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 59 years, Robert Harbaugh; sons, Tait (Michelle) Asher and Rick (Erin) Alan Harbaugh; grandson, Nolan Harbaugh; and special extended family including granddaughters, Caitlin Griffo and Tiffany Pagano, and great-granddaughters, Acacia and Qadira.

Darlene grew up and spent the majority of her life in Hanover, PA. In her early years, she enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, spending time outdoors and ballroom dancing. She also had a special place in her heart for animals. She was formerly a life-long member of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Hanover, PA. She enjoyed working together with her husband on their remodeling construction business, Robert Harbaugh General Contracting. Most of all, she loved to watch her sons and now her grandson play baseball. In 2003, they moved to Salisbury, NC. In recent years, she became a faithful member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church in China Grove.

A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date.
