Obituary: Darlene McLaughine Schronce, 79, of Concord, NC died at CMC-NorthEast in Concord on Oct. 8, 2016. Darlene was born on May 18, 1938 in Yancey Co., NC the daughter of the late Clate McLaughine and the late Viola Ledford McLaughine. She was a very happy person, loved to cook for her family and friends as well as part of her employment with a day care and she would go fishing at just the mention of her family wanting to go. Survivors include her husband, Robert "Bob" Schronce of the home, four sons; Paul Mitchell, Huey Mitchell, Shelby Mitchell and Clayten Edwards and 2 stepsons, Robert and Shane Schronce. The service for Mrs. Schronce will take place at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 12th at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday night, Oct. 11th.
