David Wayne Baucom

Obituary: David Wayne Baucom, 43, of China Grove, NC went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Novant Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury. Death was unexpected. David was born January 27, 1972 in Mecklenburg County a son of Donald E. and Mary F. Ashley Baucom of Richfield. He was assistant manager for Advance Auto Parts. David was fiercely loyal to family and friends and they could depend on him. He was witty, highly intelligent and fun to be around He was an avid Tar Heel fan.. Of his many defining characteristics, his generosity was perhaps what touched so many and made him beloved to us all. David found grace and salvation through the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this reason we have peace and the hope that we will be united again. Though he struggled at times in life, he remained resilient in his faith. His courage stands as testimony to all who knew him. He will be missed greatly by many. Survivors include his wife, Jeannie Baucom of the home, one brother, Bryan Baucom of Salisbury, two sisters, Denise Ingram and husband Rick of Charlotte and Pam Baucom of Concord. There will be a memorial service 6:30 P.M. Monday, July 27, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel conducted by Rev. Joseph Chambers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:45 P.M.-6:30 P.M. At other times they will be at the residence. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project., P.O.
