David Chapman

Obituary: David Chapman, 82, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Magnolia Gardens of Spencer following a period of declining health. He was born January 15, 1933 in Rowan County, NC a son of the late Weldon K. Chapman and the late Minnie Thornburg Chapman. David was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Kannapolis. He was a supervisor at Fun Tees retiring with twenty years of service. David was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a NASCAR and baseball fan, especially of the Atlanta Braves. Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Faith Baptist Church conducted by Rev. James Pauley. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday from 5:00-7:00 P.M. prior to the service. At other times they will be at the residence. Graveside Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 14, 2015 at Carolina Memorial Park. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Cabarrus County Honor Guard. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Margaret Lucille Myers Chapman of the Home, one son, Glenn David Chapman (Tammy) of Kannapolis, two daughters, Myra C. McDaniels (Doug) of Salisbury, Annette C. Sechler (Bruce) of Salisbury, three step-sons, Jerry Lynn Bynum, James David Bynum and Larry Dean Bynum all of Concord, step-daughter, Patricia Ann Allen (Terry) of Kannapolis, sister, Wilma Key of Mooresville , seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, eleven step- grandchildren and eight step-great grandchildren.
