David Wayne Cline, Sr.

Obituary: David Wayne Cline, Sr., 77, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on December 14, 2017 at Carolinas Health Care- Charlotte Main following a period of declining health. David was born October 3, 1940 in Forsyth County, NC a son of the late Grover Stephen and Eva Craddock Cline. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Eugene Cline who died March 28, 2016. David was of the Protestant faith. For many years he was employed in the textile industry and later was self-employed. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Jimmie Porter. Interment of cremains will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 until 1:00 prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the residence. Family members left to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 59 years; Sandra Kay Russell Cline of the home, one son, David Wayne Cline, Jr. and wife Kathy of Kannapolis, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
