David W. Moose

David W. Moose, age 60, of Salisbury died unexpectedly on Friday, July 23, 2021 at his work.

A graveside service will be held at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday July 28. His family will receive friends at Whitley’s Funeral from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 27.

David was born weighing in at 4 lbs - 9 oz on June 17, 1961 to his parents, George W. and Katie Shelby Moose, who reside in China Grove. Just as he fought to thrive as a preemie at birth; in life, he fought through many battles to live and take care of those around him. His heart and compassion were his biggest assets.

David was a lifelong area resident, graduating from South Rowan Highschool in 1979 and the later from RCCC with a degree in industrial management. He worked for various construction companies and property management companies. David was a hard worker and loved to make people laugh, and David loved to mow grass. It didn’t matter who’s it was.

In addition to his parents, David is survived by his wife of 35 years, Wanda Lyles Moose, his son, Justin Moose of Rockwell, his daughter, Heather Moose Garretson, his grandchildren, Kamber, Kazelynn, Koleson, his sister, Anna Moose Wyke (Jim) and his 2 brothers; Rickey Moose (Cindy) and Kenneth Moose (Tammy), all of China Grove and his 5 nieces and 2 nephews.

If you asked him what his greatest achievement was, he would point to his family, all of whom he loved dearly and he would say his grandbabies completed his life.
