David Lee Rea

Obituary: David Lee Rea, age 52, of Kannapolis died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville after a period of decline. His funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 11 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Adams and Rev. Anthony Redfearn officiating. Burial will follow at Kannapolis Cemetery. The family will receive friends, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 10 at Whitley's Funeral Home. David was born March 16, 1963 in Edenton, NC, a son of the late Carl and Joyce Ward Rea. He was a long-time area resident. David was employed at Ruth's Salads, in Charlotte as a production manager and he was owner/operator of Rea Exteriors Pressure Washing Service. He will always be remembered as a hardworking and loving father, who will be dearly missed. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Tyler Rea and wife Ericka, his special Aunt, Evelyn White, all of Kannapolis; 3 brothers, Carl, Marvin and Ronnie Rea; 1 sister, Carol Strenio as well as many other loving relatives.
