David Daley Stennett, 41, of Kannapolis, passed away unexpectedly on February 15, 2020.
David was born in Monroe, Louisana on December 25, 1978 to the late Loma Otis Stennett and Gumercinda Urbina Stennett, who survives.
David honorably served in the United States Army National Guard for six years and spent 11 months deployed in Iraq in Operation Desert Storm. He was an active boxer and fighter and was known as “Street Warrior.” He always had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. He also enjoyed playing the drums.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Gumercinda Urbina Stennett; daughters, Cameron Stennett, Kiah Stennett, Jaelyn Stennett, Ava Wilson; step-daughter, Secret Bost, high school sweetheart, Brittney Kicinski, three brothers, William Stennett and wife Katie, Casey Stennett and wife Elizabeth, and Richard Long; and former wife, Megan Wilson.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Whitley’s Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 in Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chad Irons officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Carolina Memorial Park with full military honors.
