Obituary: David Lawrence Threatt, 47, of China Grove went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at his residence following a period of declining health. David was born April 14, 2017 in Cabarrus County, NC a son of Jerry Thomas Threatt and Donell Henry Shaver. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Guy Shaver. Survivors left to cherish his memory are his wife of 27 years, Lisa Greer Threatt of the Home, two daughters, Chariti (Chris) Lowder and Olivia Threatt and boyfriend Corey Carpenter of China Grove. Three granddaughters; Caylin, Camryn, Cierstyn, one step-brother, David Shaver, two step-sisters, Alysia Moseley and Tammy Liberty. He also leaves his three dogs; Daisie, Bella, and Benji. David owned and operated Absolute Pest Management Service since 2001. He was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church, Kannapolis Moose Lodge #@1722 where he had held several offices, Allen-Graham Masonic Lodge #626, Scottish Rite; Charlotte Valley, Oasis Shrine and Cabarrus Shrine Club. David loved to fish, hunt, cooking, traveling to Las Vegas and being with his friends and family. A Celebration of Life will be held 12:30 P.M. Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Piedmont Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Mike Edwards and Rev. Don Greer. The family will receive friends at the church 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM prior to the service. In Lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Life Share of the Carolinas, 5000 Airport Center Pkwy, Charlotte, NC 28208. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Threatt.
