David "Carter" Walter

David “Carter” Walter, 53, passed away August 25, 2024 at his late mother’s residence after a period of declining health.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 31 at Gilwood Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Concord with Rev Charles Blasdell officiating. The family will speak with friends after the service.

Carter was born September 11, 1970, in Cabarrus Co., the son of the late Pinky and Joyce Collins Walter.

A lifelong area resident, Carter educated in the Cabarrus County School System. He received his BS and MA in Business Administration from Pfieffer College. In earlier years, Carter taught classes at Barber Scotia College and work as a night auditor for several local motel chains.

Those left to cherish his memory include his uncle, Mike (Karen) Walter; his aunt, Chris Tharp; and extended family, Mary and Dustin Eash, and Cora and Caroline Eash.
