David Lee Whipple

David Lee Whipple, age 57 of Davidson, passed away on December 28, 2022. Born in Cabarrus County on August 24, 1965, he was the son of the late Tommy James Whipple and Nancy Brown Whipple of Concord.

David was both a Golden Eagles Member and Benefactor member of the NRA. He was a member of the North Carolina Gun Collector’s Association, the Colt Collectors Association, Inc., and a former member of the Odell Volunteer Fire Department.

Besides his mother, Nancy Brown Whipple, he is survived by his brother Tommy J. Whipple, Jr. of Davidson, and by his sister Dana Renae Whipple of Davidson. He was predeceased by his brother, Timothy Edward Whipple.

A memorial gathering to celebrate David’s life will be held Monday, January 2nd from 10am to 12pm at Whitley’s Funeral Home, 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd., Kannapolis. Interment will be private at a later date.
