b. March 11, 1947

Obituary: Dawn Cheryl Miller Bierschbach, 70, of Concord passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House following a period of declining health. She was born March 11, 1947 in Cuyahoga Co. Ohio a daughter of the late Charles Roy Miller and the late Virginia Mae Kidd Miller. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Terry Lee Miller. Dawn was an English teacher a Jessie Carson High School for eight years. She received her Bachelor's degree from Florida- Atlantic and later received her Master's in Education from UNC-Charlotte. She was a member and officer in NAMI, National Association on Mental Illness, where she taught and trained volunteers; and families, dealing with mental illness. She attended the National Conventions. Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Carolina Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Mike Hubbard. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Family members left to cherish her memory are her husband 47 years, James Bierschbach, two sons, Brian and Jeffery, sister, Pamela Hood(Robert) of Bradenton, Fl., niece, Desiree Mahiquez (Luis) of Bradenton , great niece, Alexandra, two great nephews, Luis and Drew.
