Debra Jean Julian Benton, “Debbie”, 62 of Concord, died Sunday October 18, 2020 at Atrium Health Cabarrus after a period of declining health.

Her family will receive friends at Whitley’s Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 20 and then a graveside service will be held at Carolina Memorial Park at 2:00 PM with Ted Barbee officiating.

Debbie was born August 3, 1958 in Mecklenburg Co., the daughter of the late Bill and Mae Spicer Julian.

In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Cheshire and her 2 brothers, Keith and Billy Julian.

She is survived by her husband, Mark D. Benton of the home, her 2 grandchildren Riley and Carter Cheshire, her son-in-law, Joey Cheshire and her brother, Dennis Julian of Kannapolis.

Debbie was a lifelong area resident. She loved to cook, travel and spend time with her grandchildren. In earlier years; Debbie worked for ECM Insurance Company in Charlotte.
