Debbie Whaley Childers

Obituary: Debbie Whaley Childers, 51, of Concord died unexpectedly on December 5, 2012 at her residence. Debbie was born on May 15, 1961 in Fulton Co., GA, a daughter of Bonita Oran Whaley of Kannapolis and the late William Richard Whaley. She was a longtime resident of this area, graduating from A.L. Brown High School in 1979 and had attended U.N.C.C. She was a loving, devoted mother, daughter and sister and will be dearly missed. The funeral service for Mrs. Childers will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday December 8, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Mike Ruffin. Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 PM, Saturday before the service. In addition to her mother she is survived by Alan Childers and her son, "Zac" Childers of Concord; her sister, Angie Chapman of Kannapolis; her brother, Brian Whaley of Kannapolis and several Nieces and nephews.
