Obituary: Deborah Evans Stuart, 55 of Kannapolis, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Universal Health Care in Concord. Deborah was born on December 1, 1956 in Iredell County the daughter of William Don Evans and the late Betty Murph Evans. In addition to her mother, Deborah is preceded in death by her two sisters; Donna E. Colvard and Pamela E. Cox Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Parker and Associate Pastor Rev. Allen Reid officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home. Deborah received her Bachelor Degree in Education at Appalachian State University, and her Masters' Degree in Education at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte. She was a school teacher at Knollwood Elementary School in China Grove for 17 years and was an active member at Central Baptist Church in Kannapolis, having been a Sunday School Teacher in the Toddler Dept., a member of the choir, and Girls Auxiliary. In addition to her father, Deborah is survived by her mother, Jewell Evans, sons; Paul Stuart V & wife Codi of Virginia Beach, VA., Mark Stuart of Kannapolis, a daughter; Lisa Stuart and granddaughter Cheyenne Stuart of Kannapolis, brothers, Eddie Boger III & wife Cheryl of Kannapolis, and David Boger and wife Yvette of Concord, and eleven nieces and nephews.
