Debra Lowder Farmer

Obituary: Debra Lowder Farmer, 62, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC after suffering from an extended illness. She was born August 7, 1953 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of the late John Daniel Lowder and Jeanette Roseman Lowder. Debbie was a 1971 graduate of A.L. Brown High School, Kannapolis, NC. She was employed as a supervisor at the Cabarrus County Tax Collector Office where she worked for over twenty years until her retirement two & half years ago. Debbie was an active member of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church, Kannapolis, NC where she had participated with the Joy Group, Ruth Dysart Circle, former member of the choir, Handbells choir, On Eagle's Wings mission team, Via De Christo affiliation, and other phases of church activities. Her family fondly remembers her love of gardening, going to the beach, and spending time with her grandchildren. The funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Fred Guy. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday at the church prior to the service. Survivors include her daughter, Kristen Robbins (Ryne) of Salisbury, NC; her son, John Farmer of Tabor City, NC; her brother, Scott Lowder (Holly) of China Grove, NC; grandchildren, Ava, Ali, and Davis Robbins; and three nephews, Jarrett, Jordan, and Joshua (Brenna).
