Della Mae Hayes

Obituary: Mooresville: Mrs. Della W. Hayes, 92, of Mooresville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 19, 2016 after an extended illness. She was born November 3, 1923 in Iredell County to the late James Wesley Wadkins and late Julia Brooks Wadkins. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Kannapolis, where she was active as long as her health permitted. Della was preceded in death by her parents along with three brothers, Edd, Bud and J.W. Watkins and three sisters, Mary Marlowe, Vilear Watkins Hammett and Dolly Simmons. Survivors include her daughter Mary Faggart of Mooresville, two sisters Juanitta Ann Clark of Virginia. and Rachel Thigpin of Magnolia, N.C., one granddaughter Gigi Faggart Larson of Mooresville' her great grandson, Travis Martin and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday May 23, 2016 at Faith Baptist Church, Kannapolis, with Rev. James Pauley officiating. The family will receive friends and guest from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
