Delvin Kenneth Jones

Delvin Kenneth Jones, 62, of Queens New York, went into his heavenly home on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at his home in Concord, NC.

Delvin was born on March 16, 1958 in Jackson County, Oklahoma to the late Delvin Kimbrough Jones and Anita Cramer Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Keith Jones.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 39 years, Yolanda Jones; five daughters, Taniya Jones, Yana Jones Edmond, Semeria Jones, Ciané  Jones, Ko-aneecha Jones; seven grandchildren, Jaylon Smith, Damon Hunter, Iven Jones Edmond, Alexander Jones Edmond, Zeus Jones Edmond, Victoria Pontrelli and Dylan Pontrelli; sister, Veronica Jones, and brother, Lamont Jones, who will all miss him dearly.

Delvin retired as a New York City transit worker after 28 years. In his free time, he loved fishing and playing games online. He was a friendly, humorous, people person and he knew how to have a good time. Most of all he was a family man and was dearly loved by all who knew him.

The family will gather with friends at a Wake to be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Monday, October 26, 2020 at Whitley’s Funeral Home. The funeral service honoring Delvin’s life will begin at 12:00 noon in Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Jones officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Carolina Memorial Park.
