Dennis James Brown, 66, of Kannapolis, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Tucker Hospice House.
Dennis was born on November 5, 1957 in Iredell County. He was the cherished son of the late James S. Brown Jr. and Evelyn V. Allman Brown.
Dennis was a passionate outdoorsman. An avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer, he found solace and joy in the embrace of nature. He was an excellent gardener who enjoyed farming with his dad, Farmer Brown.
Dennis was a very active member at Bethpage United Methodist Church. He operated the sound board and enjoyed the Buddy Sillmon Sunday school class and the Methodist Men’s group.
Whether he was strumming his guitar or turning up the volume on his radio, Dennis had a love for all types of music.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Sandra McCammon Brown; stepsons, John Henry Wilson, Jason Scott Wilson, Danny Wade Crump Jr., and James Edward Crump; sister, Gay Brown Adams (Jimmy); nephew, Jason Adams; great- niece, Alexis Parson- Adams and his beloved dog, Willie.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Bethpage United Methodist Church in Kannapolis. The funeral service will immediately follow with Rev. McKenzie Sefa with remarks from Rev. Duane Melton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
