Dennis Keith Isaacson

Obituary: Dennis Keith Isaacson, 59, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, April 16, 2017 at CHS-Northeast Medical Center. Born September 30, 1957 in Warwick, RI, Dennis was a son of Hermine Putz Isaacson and the late Alvin Raymond Isaacson. Dennis graduated from Salisbury High School and Catawba College. He continued his education, earning a Master's Degree from Elon College and had pursued post graduate work at Sloan School of Business. Mr. Isaacson was an independent Certified Public Accountant practitioner in Salisbury. A well rounded yet simple man, Dennis loved his family and had a very generous, giving soul. His insight and witty sense of humor will be greatly missed by many. Dennis was calm in every situation, offering laughter and support; a sounding board for many he loved. He had assisted with and supported Rowan Helping Ministries, Family Crisis Council in Salisbury, and most recently, The Land Trust for Central NC organization. Family members left with many loving memories include his wife of nearly 35 years, Carolyn Carter Isaacson; his sons, Jacob and Caleb Isaacson; brothers, David Isaacson (Donna), Alvin (Wendy) Isaacson and Dieter Isaacson (Kristine); his sisters, Sandy Leiker and Heidi Zant and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, mother-in-law, Faye B. Carter; sister-in-law, Connie Carter; brother-in-law, Terry N. Carter; surrogate mother, Hazel Overcash Prevo of Thomasville and EH Pete Davis, also of Thomasville; a special family friend, Linda Fisher, a special friend, John Letherman, and much loved friends, Robert Ealey, Rodney Nunn, Thad Goforth, Kevin Walter, Darrell Hancock, Mark Lewis and Glenn Hayes. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 22nd from 12:00-2:00 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home. A memorial service to remember and celebrate the life of Dennis will begin at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Pastors Bruce and Eddie Graham. Memories may be made to Canaan Baptist Church, 785 Barringer Street, Salisbury, NC 28146, the Family Crisis Council, PO Box 50, Spencer, NC 28159, The US Holocaust Memorial Museum, 100 Raoul Wallenberg PI SW, Washington, DC 20024, or to the donor's choice.
