Dewey Dean Brown

Dewey Dean Brown, 87 of China Grove went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Northeast Medical Center. Death was unexpected.

Dewey was born November 10, 1937 in Wilkes County. NC son of the late Weldon Odell Brown and Verdie Royal Brown. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jean Bare Brown, a daughter, Priscilla Ann Brown, and brothers James Alfred Brown and Troy Brown.

Survivors include a son, Michael Dean Brown of China Grove, brothers, Roy Brown and Charlie Brown, three sisters Margie Gilreath, Nancy Sidden and Betty Stamper .Also surviving are three grandchildren, Shane Brown, Lisa Quintero of China Grove and Amanda Melton of Charlotte.

 Dewey was a head fixer at Cannon Mill, retiring with over 50 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, being an outdoorsman, a mechanical engineer and being with his family.

The family will receive friends at Whitley’s Funeral Home Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 12:00 Noon. Memorial services will be 1:00 P.M. at Whitley’s Funeral Chapel conducted by Charlie Brown and Pastor Jimmy Gilreath.
