Obituary: Dewey Michael Leitch, 57, of Kannapolis died Sunday, December 11, 2011.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday, December 15 in Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends at Whitley's from 12:00 to 1:30 PM on Thursday, at other times they will be at the family home.Dewey was born July 16, 1954 in Mooresville, NC, the son of the late Dewey S. and Foye M. Presley Leitch. He worked for Fiber Industries/Kosa for 30 years. He had been a truck driver for Epes Trucking for the past 4 years. Dewey loved to ride his motorcycle and enjoyed his boat.He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Deborah Byrd Leitch of the family home, his daughter, Crystal L. Reid (Chris) of Greensboro and his son, Danny R. Leitch of Landis.Also surviving are his 6 grandchildren; Kersten, Kaitlyn and Kinsley Reid and Tylar, Taylor and Kaylee Leitch and his beloved dog, Thorn.Online condolences may be left at www.whitleysfh.com.
