Diane Karriker

Obituary: Geri Diane Karriker, 57, passed away Monday morning, October 31, 2016 at Pruitt Health Oak at Town Center in Harrisburg, following a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer. Born December 12, 1958 in Mooresville, she was the daughter of Jerry Edward Karriker of Mooresville and the late Betty Faye Bebber Karriker. A graduate of South Rowan High School, Diane had worked in the banking industry most of her life. She was a proud member of Concordia Lutheran Church. She shared her love and gift of music by singing and playing the organ and piano on occasions at Concordia as well as other area churches. A lover of people, Diane enjoyed all sports and loved time spent with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Family members left to cherish Diane's memory in addition to her father, include her step mother Dolly Karriker; her sister Gail Corriher; nephews Dane and Tyler Corriher; her step sisters Denise Soper (David) and Pamela Herring; her step brother Larry Smith; and her step niece and nephew Leslie and Thomas Herring. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 3rd from 2:00-4:00 pm in the family life center of Concordia Lutheran Church. Services to remember and celebrate Diane's life will begin at 4:00 pm in the church, conducted by the Rev. Ken Reed and Rev. Dr. Larry Bost. Diane will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
