Obituary: Diane Daniels Mackey, 64, of Kannapolis died at her home on Thursday, May 26, 2016. Her funeral will be held Sunday, at 5:00 PM, May 29, at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joey Spry officiating. Private Burial will follow at a later date. The family will receive from 4:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Diane was born June 5, 1951 in Concord NC, a daughter of the late Charlie and Della Mae Childers Daniels. She was a homemaker and a babysitter for many years. She loved cooking and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Diane will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her husband Marion Mackey in January 2016, and one brother, David Daniels. Those left to cherish her memories, her daughters; Gloria M. Oxendine, Kathy Mackey, Lora M. Mann and her son, "Jr." Mackey - all of Kannapolis. Diane loved her 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
