Obituary: Dianne Hardin Tickle, 64, went to be with her Lord surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at CHS-Northeast Medical Center, following a brief illness. Dianne was born in Iredell County on June 17, 1952, a daughter of the late Grady Nathaniel and Eula Lee Baynard Hardin. Educated in the Rowan County schools, she had worked for Cannon Mills in the finishing department for more than 20 years. Dianne was a loyal and faithful member of God's Church of Faith, where she had been active with the Ministry of Helps program, the ladies ministry, choir, and had served as Sunday school secretary at 2 churches for 51 years. Family members left with loving memories include her husband, Rev. Roy Michael Tickle; her sisters Maxine Haywood, Joyce Royal, Lennie Haywood and Alice Featherstone (Sonny); her brothers Henry Hardin (Doris), Rev. Earl Hardin (Janice), Gene Hardin (Reba), and Jerry Hardin (Seretti); numerous nieces, nephews and extended family, friends and church members. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 11th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral service to celebrate Dianne's life will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, at God's Church of Faith, conducted by Rev. Jeff Upright, pastor. Mrs. Tickle will lie in sate from 2:30-3:00 pm at the church. A private burial will take place 11:00 am Monday, March 13 at West Lawn Memorial Park.
