Dianne Carol Goodman

Dianne Carol Goodman, 52, of China Grove, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 2, 2023, at Five Oaks Nursing Home, following a 2-year period of declining health.

Born September 20, 1970, in Concord, she was a daughter of Carolyn Dianne Simpson Goodman, of China Grove, and the late Walter Monroe Goodman.

Dianne was a much loved and loyal long-time employee of What-A-Burger, where she was a manager. She enjoyed music, line dancing, theater and trips to the mountains and beach. Most of all, Dianne loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Always fun to be around, she was a very caring, loving and beautiful soul. Although in a much better place today, Dianne will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

Loving family members in addition to her mother, include her sister, Donna Huffman; brothers, Walter M. “Junior” Goodman, Jr. (Tracy) and David Goodman; much loved nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Thursday, September 7th at Whitley’s Funeral Home.  Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Pastor Brian McMasters.  Dianne will be laid to rest at West Lawn Memorial Park following the service.
