Dianne Thomas Miller, 81, formerly of Concord, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024, in residential care in Laguna Niguel, California, after a period of declining health.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Parkwood Baptist Church in Concord, with Pastor Michael Waters officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Services will be held at 2:00 pm. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband of 50 years, the late Lloyd A. Miller, Jr. at Carolina Memorial Park in Concord.
Dianne was born on May 30, 1943, in Concord, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Herman H. Thomas and the late Louise Thomas. In addition to her husband and parents, Dianne was preceded in death by her sister, Deborah Thomas Baker. Survivors include daughter Pamela Miller Sadoff and husband John, Jr. of Laguna Beach, California; grandchildren John (Jay) William Sadoff, III of Venice Beach, California, and Alexandra (Allie) Louise Sadoff of Laguna Beach, CA; and niece Lisa Baker Heintz and husband, Brian of Concord, North Carolina.
Dianne was a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother. She found great joy in her grandchildren, Jay and Allie, and loved spending time with her family, creating countless beautiful memories that continue to comfort them. With a nurturing spirit, Dianne dedicated many years to caring for her aging parents and husband. She was a loyal sister and devoted aunt and valued the friendships she made throughout her lifetime. A gifted artist, Dianne had a special love for painting, particularly birdhouses, and enjoyed sharing her handmade creations with others. Dianne’s career included positions at Servomation Corporation, Morrison Brothers Building Center, and Sysco Corporation in Concord. In 2018, she moved to Southern California with her daughter and family, where she lived until her passing in 2024. She will be deeply missed.
