Dixie Jordan

Obituary: Dixie Jones Jordan, 69, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014 at CMC Northeast. Mrs. Jordan was born June 13, 1945 in Brevard, NC to the late Winfred and Martha Jane Gibbs Jones. She was married for 52 years to James Jordan who survives. Mrs. Jordan attended Hickory Grove Baptist Church and retired from Kosa Industries after many years of service. She loved her family and friends which brought her great joy. Survivors include her husband of the home; a daughter, Pamela Jordan Legge (Scott) of Sanford; a son, Edward Jordan of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren, David Chappell (Katie), Ryne Jordan, Blake Jordan, Bradley Legge, and Ashley Legge. One sister, Ruby Powell of Salisbury, and four brothers, Jack Jones of Kannapolis, Morris Jones of Salisbury, Clyde Jones and Charles Jones both of Brevard, NC. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Winfred Jones, Jr., Bill Jones, and Joe Jones. A funeral service will be held 7:00 P.M. Thursday evening at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Parker and Rev. Tommy Gibbs officiating. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 31, 2014 at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell, NC.
