Obituary: Dollie Teems Dotson passed away March 26, 2014 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC. She was born August 14, 1936 to Goss and Martha Storie Teems at Foscoe, NC. Dollie was a graduate of Cove Creek High School where she was a standout on her basketball team. She was a faithful member of Parkwood Baptist Church in Concord, NC. Dollie worked in banking for many years before retiring. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Dollie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert (Bob) Dotson, her two sons Jeff and wife Christy Dotson (grandchildren Matthew, Marissa, and Mitchell) of Seven Lakes, NC, Brian and Maria Dotson (grandchildren Joshua, Christopher, Alicia and Andrew) of Concord, NC. She has a sister Eva Nell Miller and her husband Bill of Vilas, NC. Dollie has two surviving brothers, Jay Teams and wife Jean of Vilas, NC, and Dr. Bob Teems and wife Mary Ann of Pawley's Island, SC. She has two sisters-in-law, Nita Teems of Columbia, SC, and Minnie Williams of Boone, NC. Brother-in-law Tommy Cooke also lives in Boone, NC. A special niece, Karen Greene, and husband Tim and daughters Amanda and Vanessa of Vilas, NC, as well as a host of friends including Sammy, Vanessa and Gigi will miss Dollie dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Patsy Swift, and three brothers (Ron, Ray, and Earl Teems). Visitation will be held 11a.m. Friday, March 28th at Parkwood Baptist Church in Concord, NC with a memorial service following at 12:30pm with the Rev. Darrell Coble and Rev. Michael Waters officiating. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dollie's name can be sent to Hospice and Pallative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, 28081.
