Don Erwin

Obituary: Xerald Q. "Don" Erwin, 67, passed away Wednesday February 12, 2014 at his residence. Don was born July 19, 1946 in Cabarrus County to the late Creston Erwin and Evelyn Cox Erwin. He retired after many years of service from J. J. Jenkins. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Wilma Erwin of the home; a son, Brad Ashley Erwin of Kannapolis; a daughter, Alisha Renea Joplin; two granddaughters, Ashley Renea Joplin and Meghan Paige Joplin; a sister, Jann Dennison of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Sonya Yvette Erwin Carpenter. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday February, 22, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
