Donald Lee Hill

Obituary: Donald Lee Hill, 84, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Good Friday, April 14, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House following a period of declining health. Donald was born May 13, 1932 in Rowan County, a son of the late Davis Lee Hill and Nezzie Ada Kiker Hill. He was a member of New Grace Baptist Church. He retired from Cannon Mills Plt. #1, weave room. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, and was an avid Tar Heel fan. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at New Grace Baptist Church, 1160 Warren C. Coleman Blvd., Concord, NC, conducted by the Revs. Allen Montgomery and Joey Spry. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the church from 12:30-2:00 P.M. prior to the service. At other times they will be at the home of a son, Ronald Hill of Kannapolis. Family members left to cherish his memory are his wife of 66 years, Frances Bost Hill of the home, two sons, Ronald Hill and wife Gail of Kannapolis, Kenny Hill and wife Jean of Kannapolis, one sister, Betty Goins of Kannapolis, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Rowan County, 720 Grove Street, Salisbury, NC 28144 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
