Obituary: Donald Wayne Jackson, 26, of the Atwell Community died Saturday, September 10, 2011 as a result of an auto accident.Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 14 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Walt Lyman officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Private burial will follow on Thursday. At other times the family will be at 8215 Smith Rd. in Kannapolis at his father's house.Donald was born November 3, 1984 in Wilmington, NC, a son of Harry Donald Jackson and Amelia Jackson Anderson. He had attended South Rowan High School. He worked as a pipefitter for a sprinkler system company in commercial construction. Donald loved to hunt, fish, listen to music and work with his father on his house. He was devoted to his baby daughter, his fiancée and his family. He was a kind and generous man, who will be deeply missed.His memory is left to be cherished by his loving fiancée, Tessa Cook, his daughter, Hannah Grace Jackson, his parents Amelia Jackson Anderson of Greentown, IN and Harry Donald Jackson and wife, Rita of Kannapolis, his grandparents; Kim and Linda Mosier of Kokomo IN and Harry and Amy Jackson and Carl Brumley and great-grandparents, Ray and Margaret Gilmore, all of Kannapolis. He is also survived by 2 sisters; Amanda J. Verhonik (Alex) of Plainfield IN and Jessica Jackson of Kannapolis and 4 brothers; Nathan Gillespie of Peru, IN, Joshua Jackson of Greentown, IN, Jack James (Randi) of Indian Trail, NC and Jerry James of Kannapolis. Donald leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ivan Wright and his grandmother, Ellen Brumley.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 5 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Service: Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 14 at Whitleys Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment: Private burial will follow on Thursday.
