Donald Dean Severt

Obituary: Donald Dean Severt, 75, of Kannapolis passed away on September 28, 2016 at his home. He was born May 1, 1941 in Ashe County, the son of the late Arnold and Annie Severt. He was preceded in death by a son, Rick Severt. Don was owner of Severt's Auto Upholstery in the Spencer/Salisbury area for many years. He was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church where he was active in many activities including former Deacon and driving the church bus for many activities. He loved antique cars and gardening. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Central Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Curtis Parker. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 prior at church. He is survived by his wife, Darlene F. Severt, son, Scott Severt, three grandchildren, Brandon Severt, Sierra Severt, Dylan Severt, four sisters, Opal Moore, Wanda Barnes, Shirley Neaves, Bronda Elliott and many nieces and nephews.
