Donald L. Tucker

Obituary: Donald L. Tucker, 65, of Salisbury, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 18, 2017, at his home. Donald was born October 1, 1952 in Cabarrus Co. to the late George Tillman Tucker and Winona Russell Tucker. Mr. Tucker was an Airforce Veteran serving during the Vietnam War, he worked with the Salisbury Police Department for over 20 years, and became a probation officer and retired October 1, 2017. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved God's Country. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by a brother Richard Tucker. Those left to cherish his memory, his wife Sharon Tucker, a daughter Sharon Gibson (Mart) of Kannapolis, a son Shawn Tucker (Kristie) of Salisbury, two grandchildren, Austin and Gabe Gibson, a brother George Tucker (Judy) of Kannapolis, two sisters Pam Kilpatrick and Mary Long both of China Grove, several nieces and nephews, he also leaves behind his two little girls, Sierra Reign and Harper Grace. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, Dec. 21 at Carolina Memorial Park, with Mike Oney officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday Dec. 20 at Whitley's Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com.
