Donna Jean Engel Popejoy

Obituary: Donna Jean Engel Popejoy, 72, of Concord went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 21, 2016 at her residence. Death was unexpected. She was born August 5, 1943 in Trumbell County, Ohio daughter of the late Edward Charles and Doris Mae Russell Engel. Prior to her retirement she was a secretary at the Okeechobee, Fl. Correctional Facility and the Broward County Sheriff's Dept. She enjoyed scrapbooking and crafting. She was a NASCAR fan, especially of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Clint Bowyer. The family will have a private service of remembrance. Survivors include one son, Lawrence Charles Popejoy and wife Linda of Concord, one daughter, Lisa Morgan and husband Scott of Kannapolis, four grandchildren: Lauren, Lindsey, Anna and Emily, and one brother, Charles Edward Engel and wife Connie of Port Orange, Fl.
