Donna May Seger

Obituary:   Donna May Canniff Seger, age 68, of 2458 Windingbrook Dr. died Monday, August 2, 2010 at Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House after a period of declining health. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, Aug. 5 at Pitts Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the funeral. Donna was born November 10, 1941 in Broome Co. NY, daughter of the late Claude and Helen Canniff. She moved here with her family in 1979 from Greene, NY. She was a homemaker to her family; she loved spending time with her Grandsons. She enjoyed gardening. Donna was an active member of Pitts Baptist Church and her church family relationships were very important to her. Donna was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, Donna was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherri L. Seger. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Donald E. Seger of the family home and her daughter, Suzanne L. Sapp (Tracy) of Kannapolis and her son, Stephen D. Seger (Mireille) of Harrisburg. Survivors also include 3 grandsons, Travis, Tanner and Tucker Sapp and her brother David Canniff of Port Crane, NY.
