Donnie L. Galloway

Obituary: Donnie L. Galloway, age 72, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2016 at his home. He was born March 16, 1944 in Cabarrus County, NC, the son of the late J.B. Galloway and Mary Virginia Hall Galloway. Donnie was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, a truck driver for McLain Trucking Lines, Yellow Freight Works, and also with Consolidated Freight where he worked as a switcher for many years The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Larry Helms. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Reynolds Galloway; one son, Jason Galloway & wife, Amanda of Kannapolis, NC; a daughter, Alicia L. Bratcher & husband, John of Fuquay-Varina, NC; six grandchildren, Brock, Emma, Merritt, Jordan, Madison, and John.
